Throughout her 17-year career in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and diagnostics fields, Rasika Iyer has stood out as a leader beginning with her contributions to pioneering early detection methods for kidney carcinogens as a research associate at the University of Guelph. She then transitioned into business roles within healthcare.

Before arriving at Gilead Sciences in 2021, she worked at Bio-Rad Laboratories and in client services and digital strategy at Giant Creative Strategy. She later held leadership positions at Genentech and Roche. As senior director, head of global commercial business partnering and procurement for Gilead, she manages a portfolio valued at over $1 billion. She has led a series of cost-saving initiatives and transformative changes — resulting in $100 million in savings — demonstrating her innovative leadership.

Iyer and her husband share a passion for travel and exploration, often embarking on adventures with their children, aged 2 and 7, to expand their horizons.
