Vinay Prasad is back at the FDA as its Chief Medical and Scientific Officer, again. He stepped down on July 30 – less than three months after leaving office. (Seeking Alpha)

AbbVie shares skyrocket as immunology drug set for exclusivity until 2037. The drugmaker said it expected no generic competition for its immunology drug Rinvoq until 2037. (Yahoo Finance)

Eli Lilly to award $193 million to whistleblower lawyer and pharmacist in a fraud lawsuit. The drugmaker was accused of defrauding Medicaid. The federal judge upheld that Lilly knowingly concealed having retroactively increased prices on some drugs, while failing to rebate Medicaid on higher prices. (Bloomberg Law)

Merck said that its pneumococcal shot triggered an immune response in children and teens who are at higher risk for serious illness. The results were taken from a late stage study the drugmaker conducted. (Reuters)

The Food and Drug Administration will convene to tackle AI mental health device regulation. The panel will convene on Nov 6. to discuss the intersection of newly released AI mental health products and their impacts. (STAT News)
