Vida Ventures hired longtime J.P. Morgan Chase portfolio manager Matt Cohen and former MPM BioImpact partner Brian Goodman as managing directors.

TScan Therapeutics named Stephen Camiolo as SVP of market access.

Havas Health announced that it brought back Joanna Ruiz from Deloitte Digital as president of Havas Lynx New York and hired Megan Skelly from Edelman as chief creative officer.

Alvotech appointed Dr. Balaji V. Prasad as chief strategy officer.

Dr. Alfred Merz was appointed CEO of ProBioGen.

President Donald Trump chose Fox News contributor Sara Carter as the drug czar to oversee the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

Gameday Men’s Health appointed Dr. Haleem Mohammed, MD, MBA as chief medical officer.

Nxera Pharma named Kiyoshi Kaneko as chief commercial officer.

Danish biotech Adcendo named Fang Z. Ni, PharmD as its CFO.

Endeavor BioMedicines hired Lisa Lancaster, MD as chief medical officer.

Journey Medical Corporation appointed Ramsey Alloush as chief operating officer.

Xaira Therapeutics appointed Dr. Bo Wang as the head of biomedical AI.

Executive elevations:

Roche Diagnostics promoted Johnny Smith to global head of communications.

Traws Pharma announced Iain D. Dukes, D Phil, its executive board chairman, will become interim CEO.

Kevin Ciemniecki returned to Publicis Health Media to serve as director of point of care.

Grace Young joined the Insagic division of Publicis Health to lead audience solutions.

Chris Schnurman was named as managing director and global client director at Havas Life New York.

Sean Fitzgerald was promoted to a new position as VP of AccessGenius at Precision AQ.

Jillian Tragone, MBA was promoted to associate director at Endo.

Departures:

Peter Marks resigned from his post as the FDA‘s top vaccine regulator after Trump administration officials told him it was that or be fired.

Vence Bonham, who was supposed to lead the National Human Genome Research Institute at the NIH, has been “unexpectedly” placed on administrative leave.

Traws Pharma announced Werner Cautreels, PhD will retire as CEO, while continuing as a board member.

CRISPR Therapeutics said that chief operating officer Julianne Bruno was leaving to “pursue external opportunities.”

Alcon acquired a majority stake in cell therapy startup Aurion and replaced CEO Greg Kunst.

Tara Schwetz, who oversaw creation of ARPA-H, was placed on leave by the NIH.

Sonnet BioTherapeutics Holdings said its CEO Pankaj Mohan was the person who died over the weekend in a small plane crash in Somerset County.

The Department of Health and Human Services named vaccine critic David Geier to conduct a study looking for a link between immunizations and autism.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty for Luigi Mangione, the man accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City last year.

Alabama’s attorney general cannot prosecute people and groups who help Alabama women travel to other states to obtain abortions, a federal judge ruled.
