Chris Perry, former chief innovation officer and chairman of Weber Shandwick Futures, is launching a consultancy called Andus Labs on June 9.
“Andus Labs is a new consultancy model to help leaders see the AI moment clearly, move intentionally and build wisely,” Perry said via email. “We help executives make sense of AI and its implications and translate that clarity into action.”
Perry, who will use the title of founder, said that while “everyone” is rushing to deploy AI, few ask why or what it’s really for.
Andus will provide clients with executive residencies, which will include learning opportunities where senior leaders can gain AI fluency; sense how AI is changing work, culture and media; and co-create “bold” responses to it. All participants can join a network of peers and experts to accelerate their AI understanding and trajectory, Perry said.
“The first cohort focuses on under-served strategic functions: corporate affairs, risk, investor relations, communications and HR,” he said. “We’ll follow this with residencies bringing together strategists, media company heads, entertainers and more.”
Other services the consultancy plans to offer are advisory and strategy. The firm is also building internal AI labs that can be embedded within client organizations, which combine internal subject matter experts, external experts and task-specific tools.
Andus Labs has a core staff of four, but Perry emphasized that the agency is not scaling by headcount.
“We’re building a global expert network around a client services and operations team,” he said. “Our strength is in assembling the best minds across AI, product and modern organizational strategy, on-demand based on program or client need.”
Andus Labs was “born inside” New York-based tech incubator and venture capital fund Betaworks, Perry said.
Asked what kinds of clients Andus Labs plans to work with, Perry said that the firm is “category-agnostic.” He declined to disclose clients.
Perry exited Weber on April 15 after more than two decades there. He was a member of the PRWeek Dashboard 25: Class of 2025.
A Weber spokesperson said Perry’s former role as chief innovation officer and chairman of Weber Shandwick Futures will not be backfilled.
