      During the course of Joanna Ruiz’s long career in life sciences and healthcare advertising and communications, there have been three common themes: strong client relationships, breakthrough creativity and a steadfast work ethic, including as a leader.

      Those qualities have all been evident since Ruiz joined Deloitte Digital in 2022 as the agency’s first health leader. She has played a critical role in establishing the agency practice and she has built, sold and scaled activations that combine social good with revenue and creative opportunities. She has also successfully carved out a differentiated strategy for the health agency that has received a number of industry accolades. Thanks to her efforts, Deloitte has won agency work for the first time with Medtronic, J&J, Pfizer, NYP, Biogen, Elevance, Moderna, Integra and Sanofi.

      Ruiz is committed to creating an inclusive workplace culture and using her voice to support women’s health initiatives. At Deloitte she has participated in women’s customer and marketing leadership panels and she organized a Deloitte + Salesforce Women’s Event. She has worked with Deloitte leadership to promote the firm’s women’s health strategy.

      In early April Ruiz joined Havas Lynx New York as president.
